How to Know if Your Roasted Chicken is Done (Video)

Everyone loves roasted chicken. It’s delicious and so easy to make. The not-so-easy part is determining when that bad boy is cooked. Here are a few tips to help you out:

  • You should always have a thermometer in your kitchen to help you determine the doneness of your proteins.
  • Chicken is safe to eat once it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
  • It’s also not a bad idea to take out your chicken a little before it reaches 165 degrees because it will continue to cook while it’s resting.
  • A good spot to take your chicken’s temperature is just between the breast and the leg.
  • You don’t want to poke your chicken too much because you don’t want the juices to run out of your chicken.
  • Make sure when you roast anything you let it rest for a few minutes to let the juices redistribute and your meat will be really moist (we hate the word moist, but you get the point).

I learnt a new word today : the “doneness” as in “how to check the doneness of a roasted chicken”
May I say that it is a “fingerlicked” word ?
