How to Make an Awesome Blue Cheese Dip (Video)

This is the perfect party dip. It goes awesome with crispy Buffalo wings, vegetable platters and even with chips. After you make this dip you should let it sit in the refrigerator for a couple hours so the flavors can all marry together. You can even prepare this dip a day ahead so you can make your party day a cinch. You can use different variations on some of the ingredients and create your own dip as well. If you are watching your figure you can substitute sour cream for Greek yogurt and keep it healthier. You can also substitute the blue cheese for gorgonzola if you’d like that as well. It is so easy to do.

What You Need:

  • 1/2 cup of crumbled blue cheese or substitute gorgonzola
  • 1/2 cup of sour cream or substitute Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/2 of a lemon juiced
  • 2 tablespoons of minced shallot
  • 1 small clove of garlic minced
  • 2-4 dashes of Tabasco sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Make Blue Cheese Dip:

1. Mix all ingredients in a food processor (if you don’t own one you can do it by hand, but make sure your shallot and garlic are finely minced).

2. Pulse until smooth, but still a little chunky.

3. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for 1-4 hours until flavors develop

This is great when you make it a day before.

Done!
