Video: Measure Lounge’s Nutella Hot Chocolate Recipe

Today we’re going to learn how to make Nutella hot chocolate. Ok, so, first of all I think we need to take a moment to appreciate that such a magnificent beverage exists. Guys, this is a toasty warm, wintery beverage. It is alcoholic. It contains Nutella. The fact that I have only just discovered this drink makes me strenuously question what I could have possibly been doing with my life up until this point that was so damned important. But all deep-seated regret of time wasted on lesser cocktails aside, this is one fancy beverage, you should definitely try out. And, thanks to Langham Place’s food and beverage director, Michael Smith, you’ll soon possess the knowledge to make it yourself. Check out the video below to find out how (and guess what, it’s pretty darn easy –as if this couldn’t get any better!)

However, if you’d prefer to have your cocktails prepared for you and sip them while surrounded by luxury, you better make plans to stop by Measure Lounge at Langham Place. The Langham hotel is one-stop shopping for all your fanciest desires. Want to stay in a beautiful suite, complete with floor-to-ceiling views of the Empire State Building? Need to relax at a spa, maybe get a Thalgo Oxygen Facial? How about dine at a Michelin-starred restaurant? Well, Langham can help you out with all that, and more. Though they almost seem to boast an embarrassment of riches, I haven’t even mentioned the best part –Measure Lounge, home of the Nutella Chocolate-less Hot Chocolate. Measure Lounge is a particularly bright jewel in Langham Place’s crown –and not just because of the Nutella hot chocolate… ok, mostly because of that, but they have other awesome stuff too. Measure Lounge serves up every meal of the day, with items like the Dayboat Scallops (served with artichoke cream, morelles, bacon, and brussels sprouts –umm yes, please) and the Three Martini Lunch (a flight of sampler martinis –aaaand thank you, very much). Swing by in the evening and you’ll hear a nightly concert of live jazz prepared by their very own artist-in-residence, Antonio Ciacca. Oh, and don’t forget their kid friendly cabaret happening every Sunday morning, adorably named “Tunes with Tina.”

In the wise words of my new favorite cocktail magician, Michael Smith: “Winter’s no fun, have a Nutella hot chocolate!” Here at ForknPlate, we couldn’t agree more.
