Celebrate Father’s Day with Free Beer at Paulaner

Celebrate this Father’s Day with something Dad actually wants –free beer! This Sunday, June 21st, Paulaner will be offering dads a free flight of their house-brewed beer with the purchase of any entree. The five-beer flight includes Summer Bock (bottom fermented, with a light malty flavor and deep golden color), Hefeweizen (their most popular beer, lightly hoppy and fruity), Munich Pale Ale (top fermented IPA with a copper color, using three different varieties of hops), Munich Lager (amber in color, bottom fermented, gently carbonated), and Munich Dark (regional specialty, seven types of heavily roasted barley create a traditional, malty flavor). In addition, they will be serving a special Father’s Day dish of Viennese Fried Chicken with Arugula and Potato Salad ($22). Both Dad’s Day treats will be available from brunch through dinner.

Paulaner, located in the Bowery, is an upscale Bavarian restaurant and brewery. Try one (or five!) of their many house-brewed beers along with great German cuisine. A modern take on traditional German beer halls, Paulaner is a great choice for group outings, with long communal tables and a relaxed atmosphere.  Master Brewer Andrea Heidenreich creates his own versions of traditional Paulaner-style beers using only four ingredients –water, wheat, hops, and yeast; no extra spices, fruits or other enhancements. For dinner, the menu hosts a wide range of Bavarian-style food –try their house-made sausages, freshly baked pretzels, or classic Weiner Schnitzel. Dessert includes Warm Pear Strudel with Caramel Brittle Ice Cream, Apple Fritters with Vanilla Ice Cream, and Sweet Buns with Apricot Jam and Vanilla Sauce. Weekend brunch includes savory and sweet German pancakes and a free drink to boot!
