Slow Food Event at The East Pole, July 27th

On the evening of July 27th, from 7:00 to 9:00pm, Slow Food NYC is hosting their monthly Happy Hour at The East Pole.

Though housed in a historic brownstone in the sophisticated Upper East Side of Manhattan, The East Pole is actually the humble off-shoot of The Fat Radish in the LES. The main dining room is adorned with old maps and subtle, nautical accents giving it a minimalist aesthetic focused on high-quality materials. They deem their menu “simple yet elevated home cooking” with a focus on seasonal, local, organic produce and sustainably sourced proteins. Their cocktail menu and bar service follows suit with offerings from small batch breweries, distilleries and wineries.

Founded by Carlo Petrini, the Slow Food Movement is an “eco-gastronomic movement” drawing a connection between the plate and the planet. SFNYC is creating a community of people and places devoted to high-quality, sustainability and authenticity of food. “The Slur” is Slow Food’s bi-monthly Happy Hour, a relaxed event giving attendees the opportunity to talk with SF’s leadership and meet other “Slow”-minded people. These events are only held at bars or restaurants committed to craft cocktails, local beers and wines, and/or traditional methods.

Monday July 27th, 7:00-9:00pm

The East Pole, 133 E. 65th Street, New York, NY 10065
