The Ice Cream Club strikes again with its latest ice cream swap social. Whether you’re totally into making your own ice cream or a complete beginner who thinks it might be fun to try, the Ice Cream Club is the event for you. Here’s how it works:
1. Make some awesome ice cream.
2. Box up two pints, one marked “share” and one marked “trade.”
3. Show up at the Brooklyn Brainery with your ice cream, and hang out trying lots of awesome flavors and talking ice cream.
4. On your way out the door, grab a trade pint to enjoy at home.
It’s a super cool (see what I did there…) way to spend a Saturday morning, trying lots of rockin’ flavors of homemade treats, makin’ friends and all that jazz. Plus, you get a flavor to take home –jackpot! The event is free, but you must bring two pints of homemade ice cream to be admitted.
If you’ve never made ice cream before, no worries! It’s really not very hard. Check out the Ice Cream Club’s Basic Guide to Making Awesome Ice Cream, and you’ll be whipping up delicious ice-y treats in no time. And in case you don’t have a machine handy, Ice Cream club also has a great guide to making ice cream without a machine.
