Ice Cream in a Bag Recipe


  • 1 gallon sized zip bag
  • 1-2 smaller zip bags (2 if you want to double bag to prevent leakage)
  • Some crushed ice to fill 1/2 your gallon bag
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups 1/2 & 1/2
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • about 3 tablespoons salt

1. Take your gallon bag and fill 1/2 with crushed ice and add salt to the ice (this lowers the freezing point and prevents ice from melting so quickly) and shake salt around

2. Take all ingredients and combine in a bowl and whisk until sugar is dissolved

3. Ladle mixture into smaller bag and close tightly

4. Put smaller bag into larger ice bag

5. Shake for 10 minutes and serve!

It really is so good and a good workout!
