  • 2 lbs asparagus
  • water

Steps

1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, adding the salt.

2. Add the asparagus and boil for 2-3 minutes. To test for doneness, the asparagus should not be limp.

3. Drain the water and serve! If desired, plunge the asparagus into an ice bath to serve them cold, as with a salad.
