For all you mussel lovers you can grab a bowl of these edible bivalves on Mondays for only 6 buckaroos. You pick the sauce: tomato cilantro, white wine pine nut or coconut chili basil. Everyone else, this place is pretty great for a quick lunch or dinner. The ambiance is quite simple and inviting and you almost feel as if you are sitting in a London Pub. I sat in a booth and soaked in my surroundings and felt comforted and almost amused by the whisper of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” playing in the background. As I scanned the menu, I noticed they had quite an array of delectable items to choose from. We tried a few dishes. The chicken sandwich with bacon, arugula, pickled onions and garlic mayo, the roasted chicken with peppercorn gravy and mashed potatoes and, of course, the burger with fries. The burger was really good and juicy and came on onion brioche. The fries were crispy and not too greasy. Let’s talk about the chicken sandwich. Order it and you won’t be disappointed. My other recommendation for Alchemy is order the garlic mayonnaise on the side of everything. It’s quite satisfying and in fact, a bit addictive. You could put that garlic mayo on dirty socks and they would taste delicious. Get over to alchemy for some good pub food and reasonable prices.
