Wattle in; waddle out. After trying the Red Wattle Country chop with cheddar grits I was pretty blown away. It had really deep flavor and was smokey and tender. This quaint little spot is nestled off a dark cobblestone street. Vinegar Hill House with “house” being the operative word feels exactly that. The seemingly effortless decor makes you feel as if you’ve walked into someones home. I love places with mismatched flatware. It’s cozy. The food is really superb and the service is laid back, which in a sense is comforting. The salted caramel custard was very rich, but really amazing. I’m a sucker for the marriage of salty and sweet. You won’t be disappointed so go find your thrill at Vinegar Hill House.
