At Alice’s Arbor they know how to do farm-to-table right, with tasty, inspired cuisine and a welcoming atmosphere. Restauanteur Dimitri Vlahakis (Motorino, La Gamelle) and Chef/Partner Mike Franzetti (Palladin, Washington Park, Chestnut) have created a fun, relaxed eatery with food that is both yummy and reasonably priced. Stop in for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks, or to shop at the general store stocked with locally-sourced goods.
Breakfast ranges from omellettes with a side of cowboy fries, seasoned with a sweet and smoky spice blend, to bahn mi croissants, to egg sandwiches on flauta. For dinner, try the Sullivan County Farm Trout with lemon, capers and brown butter, the Ribeye Steak Frites with poivre sauce and herb butter, and the Cheddar and Goat Cheese Mac & Cheese with mix-ins like pork, jalapeno, veggies, lobster, or truffle oil. Dessert offers yummy things like Cheesecake with raspberry coulis, vanilla chia pudding, and apple crisp with Blue Marble ice cream.
Beverages have been hand selected by Director of Operations Eric Goulange and include small, local producers, such as Vino Rosato by Andrea Scorvero, which is only available at one other restaurant besides Alice’s Arbor. They also have 11 taps with exclusive beers from craft breweries throughout New York state. Interested in trying them all? They do beer tastings, too!
Bonus: Alice’s Arbor offers many a great deal, like set weekly specials, daily happy hours, and dollar oysters. Especially popular is their 3 Course Special on Mondays and Tuesday –choose any appetizer, entree, and dessert for $25.
