It’s time for a taste of New Orleans in New York with the 2nd Annual Nolafunk Crawfish & Music Festival. On Saturday, June 20th, hope aboard a ferry to Governors Island where Nolafunk will be serving up the best of New Orleans’ sounds and tastes.
The James Brown Dance Party will be in full swing with members of James Brown Band Trey, Trey Anastasio Band, Pretty Lights, Break Science, Victor Wooten Band, Strange Design, and more. In addition there will be special New Orleans guests Flow Tribe, New Breed Brass Band, Papa Mali, and PitchBlak Brass Band. And don’t forget, there will also be all the crawfish you can fit in your tummy, courtesy of Nola Crawfish King. So come down and enjoy a little bit of the Big Easy in the Big Apple.
Tickets can be purchased here. General admission costs $35 in advance, $40 day of show. Or pay $55 ($65 day of show) and get admission plus a crawfish platter, which includes 2 pounds of crawfish, potatoes, and corn.
