Lions and tigers and brews, oh my! If drinking a beer in a boring ol’ bar no longer holds its appeal, why not head down to the Central Park Zoo for a change of scene. This friday and Saturday, June 19th and 20th, the gardens of the zoo will be filled with vendors dolling out brews and bites. Over 60 craft breweries will be on site, as well as food from some of New York’s most popular restaurants.
General admission is $49, with VIP tickets selling for $69 –both can be purchased here. General admission includes 3 hours of unlimited beer tasting (8-11pm), souvenir beer glass, entry into the costume contest, and live music and DJs. VIP tickets allow all that great stuff, plus entry to the event an hour earlier (7pm), and 1 hour of access to animal houses (such as the Tropics, Penguin House, and Sea Lion Show).
Tickets are transferable, should you choose to come a different night, but not refundable. All attendees must be 21 or older and provide a valid ID. For more information, directions, and frequently asked questions, visit lionstigersandbrews.com
