Welp, whether you love it or hate it Tao is one of the highest grossing restaurants in New York City and has now opened its downtown location. It’s a gorgeous 22,000 square foot space under the Maritime hotel, the dining room seats about 300 people and there are even two new swanky “sky box” rooms where you can reserve a room for 20 guests. There is also a bar off to the side of the new space called Ink Bar and we think this is mostly where you will be able to do your celebrity spotting. The menu still offers much the same Pan-Asian goodness, such as dim sum and yakitori and you can still order a ton of shareable plates. So go mix, match, and mingle with your fancy friends. You so fancy.
