If you’ve watched any Diners Drive Ins and Dives episodes, you’ve probably more than once thought to yourself that you’d like to try that greasy, delicious looking thingamajig that Guy Fieri just stuffed in his mouth while exclaiming “Flavortownnn!”. I just want you to know, you are not alone…
If you aren’t familiar with the show, Food Network star Guy Fieri travels the country (in a badass convertible 1967 Chevy Camaro SS by the way) in search of the best low-down restaurants (diners, drive ins, and dives to be specific) then he gets them to show him (and you, the viewer) how to make their most popular dishes. It all ends in him taking a bite and telling them how awesome they are. And, as any avid viewer will tell you, most of the time, he looks down-right sincere about it.
The big issue with Diners Drive Ins and Dives, though, is that they’re all over the place and not terribly easy to find (guess that’s the issue with low-down restaurants –they’re low-down). To help fix that, I’ve put together (and continue to update whenever I can) a map of all the Diners Drive Ins and Dives locations for anyone so inclined to use it to find some new restaurants slightly off the beaten trail.
Take a look at the map below and see if there are any spots near you, go try them in all their greasy, fried glory, and report back and let us and others know if it was as good as he made it out to be!
