Owner of the Vendy-winning Bistro Truck, Yassir Z. Raouli, is opening his first location without wheels. This Moroccan themed restaurant in the Lower East Side will be called Rustic L.E.S. They’ve sent us a menu, and it doesn’t look half-bad; comfort foods for some and sweet breads and bone-marrow for the more adventurous foodie. We’ll have to go check it out and see if Yassir can still make food when given more space to cook it in.
UPDATE: We just received word that this location will now be opening on Sept 13th 2012; delayed by a week.
