Foodie friends and family members are, in our opinion, the most fun to shop for during the holiday season. We’ve picked our top 6 gifts that are a little out of the box and will impress the cook/chef/ food enthusiast in your life. Here they are (in random order).
Everyone loves bacon and this is the gift that keeps on giving. You can purchase 3, 6, or 12 month memberships and the bacon lover in your life will get artisanal, thick-cut and hand-rubbed bacon delivered to their door every month! These bacon selections are made with the finest all-natural ingredients and are quite tasty. Who wouldn’t love a gift like this? They will be bacon for more (had to)! Gifts range from about 60-400 bucks so you can choose your own.
Enjoy the best seasonal fruits from California year round with this awesome membership from Frog and Hollow Farm. From May to September you can get gourmet boxes of their organic, fresh, peak season apricots, peaches, cherries, plums, and nectarines. In the winter and fall, they will send you pears, apples, pomegranates, and more seasonal fruits grown by some of the top farmer’s in California. You can get this membership for about 145 bucks.
Who doesn’t want a true New York bagel? This is a nice little package you can send for about a hundred bucks and it feeds 6 people. It’s basically a New York Brunch consisting of hand rolled bagels, New York’s finest nova, all natural cream cheese, some chocolate babka, and their private blend of house-made coffee. Send a New York brunch across the nation for the holidays.
Ok, this gift is a little on the pricey side, but it’s amazing for the REALLY special foodie in your life. It’s a collection of Modernist Cuisine Books and they come in a set of 5 and the pictures are also gorgeous. It’s any foodies dream and I’m still waiting for my set. Maybe this year, I’ll get it (hint, hint to any of my family member)
Who doesn’t love mushrooms?! No, not the psychedelic type (although, people love those too, groovy). This grow-your-own oyster mushroom kit is freaking awesome. Anyone can do this and the kit comes with everything you need to grow and harvest your mushrooms. We fancy the oyster mushroom kit, but you can also pick from other kits like button mushrooms and portobellos. It’s only around 34 bucks and foodies love this.
Last on the list, but so not least. We’ve always had a crush on Momofuku and during the holidays it’s no different. This Franken’ Pie consists of four slices of crack pie, two slices of apple blondie pie, and two slices of candy bar pie. You will die over these and so will whoever you buy this for. It’s only 44 bucks and well worth every penny. Get on it.

Do you have the site for the olive oil tree?
