8,000 cheesy square feet in the Flatiron District. With their grand opening on Friday, June 24th Beecher’s Handmade cheese is making cheese curds trendy in New York. You can watch them make cheese, enjoy a glass of wine or beer, grab some mac and cheese, (which was one of Oprah’s favorite things last year) and sample any of their 75 cheeses from around the country. This much anticipated Seattle transplant is making waves among New York foodies and may give Eataly, which is located down the street a run for their “cheddah”. Bad joke. I haven’t been yet, but overall reviews seem to be really positive. The cheese cellar is not yet open, but will be a bar and restaurant with a few small menu items and some really tasteful decor. Go check out this exciting culinary addition to the Flatiron District.
