In celebration of the 40th anniversary of their enormous hit “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Queen is officially launching their own beer brand.
Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
No, this is real. And it’s very appropriately-named Queen Bohemian Lager. The “golden hoppy” beer is brewed in the Czech Republic, otherwise known as Bohemia, of course. The beer is debuting in cans carrying the Queen crest (designed by Freddie Mercury himself) and an image from A Night at the Opera, the album on which “Bohemian Rhapsody” appeared. It’ll first be released in Europe this summer prior to hitting shelves worldwide. Consumers will be able to snag a six-pack for $31, and a crate of this 4.7 ABV brew for $56.
This isn’t Queen’s first go at the booze business. Last year, in honor of Freddie Mercury’s drink of choice and the 40th anniversary of “Killer Queen,” Brian May collaborated with Stoli to produce Killer Queen Vodka.
